Learn_to_Play_Hockey_3_1_largeIce Hockey is a great game with fast-paced action, crisp passes, hard shots, and spectacular goals. Most people find it very easy to catch hockey fever.  AZ Ice Peoria’s goal is to get people to play the game. Our Learn to Play Hockey programs help would-be participants become players.

Programs include skate rental and six public sessions passes.
Hockey Tots 1 & 2

  • $135.00 Wednesdays (9 weeks)
  • $120.00 Saturdays (8 weeks)

Skaters ages 4-6 will learn basic hockey skating techniques. Students are recommended to wear a hockey helmet with cage and Hockey gloves.

Hockey 1

  • $135.00 Wednesdays (9 weeks)
  • $120.00 Saturdays (8 weeks)

Designed for children 7 years and older, this class teaches beginning hockey techniques including stops and skating backwards.  Children ages 4-6 may take this class after Hockey Tots. A hockey helmet with cage and hockey gloves is required. Students must have a hockey stick by the fourth week of class.

Note – A $15.00 Annual Registration due for classes listed above, they are run through our Learn to Skate USA program

Learn to Play Hockey is an introductory instructional program geared towards beginner hockey players. This program will teach the fundamentals of the game. The program follows USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM) and is taught by certified USA Hockey instructors. Players from this program will graduate to ADM

 To Play Hockey fee does not include the skaters USA Hockey registration fee, which is free to skaters 6 and under. You can register for your USA Hockey membership at www.usahockey.com.
